District staff recommend $587,000 base bid for district-wide fire alarm replacement; Board review slated May 21

Jennifer McKay told trustees the district completed a solicitation for a district-wide fire alarm replacement and recommended awarding the work to Great Lakes Power and Lighting, Inc., of Casco.
McKay reported the recommendation as a base bid of $587,000 "plus the PLM Bond amount of $7,000" to be paid from the Building and Site Fund. She said the recommendation and contract documents will be brought for formal approval at the May 21 regular meeting.
No formal action was taken at the informational meeting; the Board will consider the bid award and contract terms at the May 21 meeting.
