Amy Charles addressed the Court during public comments requesting that the Fiscal Court and its committees post meeting notices, agendas, meeting notes, and video recordings to Facebook and YouTube, and that openings for appointed positions be advertised with requirements. She asked that the matter be placed on a future agenda for discussion.
Judge/Executive Scott Bates said the county is already "doing more than has ever been done" but raised concerns that recording everything could create controversy if recordings failed; Esquire Carl Tingle said "Facebook just twists things around anyway," and Esquire Danny Shain said current posting practices should be sufficient. The minutes record no immediate action to change posting or recording policy.
