Administrator Jason Stanley said Palmer Engineering requested a reduction of the bond on Smithfield Estates to allow owners to lower expenses now that substantial work is complete. Stanley reported the original bond was $504,352 and that remaining work would require a bond of $398,299; the Court approved reducing the bond to $398,299 on a motion by Esquire Danny Shain, seconded by Esquire Brad Fisher.
Stanley added he had visited the project manager to verify the percentage of work completed. He said the owners of Smithfield Estates will come before Planning & Zoning in March seeking final plat approval for Phases 2 and 3.
