Animal Services reports adoptions, intake and need for replacement vehicle; fundraiser planned

Animal Services Director Danielle Ashcraft told the Court the shelter processed 31 intakes and currently has 19 dogs in care after six adoptions, 26 rescues, and five returns to owners. She reported "4 adoptions at $800, donations of $2,250, and $120 in other funds received resulting in $3,170 in collections."
Ashcraft said the shelter's second vehicle is not in commission and that she hopes to acquire a truck from the Sheriff's Department if budget and funds permit. Magistrate Carl Tingle and Esquire Roger Hartlage announced that Tingle will host an annual car show fundraiser on May 16 at the fairgrounds to benefit the Animal Shelter and requested sponsors.
