Perry presented his office's 2025 excess-fees reconciliation showing receipts of $1,125,762.22, disbursements of $998,573.82 and excess fees totaling $127,188.40. The Fiscal Court voted to accept the reconciliation. Judge Bates thanked the Sheriff's Office for fiscal management and noted the county pays more than $300,000 for Sheriff's office benefits, which the excess fees help offset.
What’s next: the Drug Task Force board will convene March 13 and the county will proceed with filling the director position; accepted excess fees are recorded in the county financials.
