Clear Creek ISD federal programs described the primary program options available under Title III: English as a Second Language (ESL) at the student's home campus and dual-language instruction (English and Spanish) at select elementary and intermediate schools. The presenter said a trained teacher helps students "learn English alongside their regular subjects" and that dual-language classrooms aim to make students "fully bilingual."
Placement recommendations come from the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee and parents make the final decision. The presenter also noted that if placement is at a different campus, the district provides transportation to the assigned school. "If your child is placed in a program at a different campus, the district provides transportation to that assigned school," the presenter said.
