The St. Charles Community Schools Board of Trustees voted unanimously Jan. 19 to approve a treasury state-qualified bond for an August 2026 bond election. The motion to approve the financing approach was made by Trustee Allison Brady and seconded by Trustee Kevin Ritenburg; the motion carried 7–0.
Before the vote the board heard presentations from three outside firms — PFM, IDI and Spence Brothers — on funding strategies, key dates and project delivery considerations tied to the proposed bond. The meeting minutes record that the board also approved the Jan. 7, 2026 organizational meeting minutes earlier in the session and scheduled further discussion of several ad-hoc committees at the Jan. 21 regular meeting.
