President Janice Collison presided as the Board of Education voted to adopt the district's General Appropriation Resolution and final 2025–2026 budgets during the June 18 meeting. Director of Finance Michael Waldie presented the financials; the motion passed by roll call with four yes votes and one no (Marianne Bird).
The Board also approved the L‑4029 Tax Rate Request to be levied July 1, 2026, specifying rates for Extra Voted Non‑homestead (Commercial Personal 6.0000; Other 18.0000), Debt Retirement 1.4000 and Sinking Fund 0.9814. The Board then adopted the 2026–2027 operating budgets; that motion likewise passed on a 4–1 roll call with Marianne Bird recorded as the lone dissenting vote.
Board records show the budget votes were made during the Business Report and identified differing votes on both the final 2025–2026 and the 2026–2027 budget adoptions. No additional detail on the grounds for the recorded dissent was included in the minutes. The actions are effective for the indicated fiscal periods and will guide district spending and levy collections for the coming year.
