On April 15 the board moved to adopt a bundle of policy revisions and new policies on second reading. Mrs. Seals summarized the updated and new policies, which included revisions to definitions, staff ethics, online/blended learning program rules, comprehensive school health education, sex education, volunteer policies, procurement rules for federal grants, care of students with diabetes, purchasing and emergency operations, an artificial intelligence (AI) replacement policy, and specialized transportation for students with IEPs.
Mrs. Seals moved to adopt the policy revisions and new policies as presented; Ms. R. A. Knapp supported the motion and a voice vote recorded five ayes, zero nays. The minutes list the policy numbers and indicate the board accepted the second readings presented on April 7 and April 15, 2026.
The board's adoption advances the policies toward implementation; staff will follow standard notice and implementation practices for revised district policies.
