The committee reviewed a proposed set of listening sessions intended to gather campus and constituent input for the presidential profile. The proposed list (Attachment 2) includes a faculty town hall or Faculty Senate representatives; a staff town hall or Staff Senate representatives; a student town hall or student leader representatives; individual meetings with President's Cabinet members (EVP and COO; EVP and Provost; SVP for Advancement; VP for Student Affairs; SVP and Chief Research and Innovation Officer; CEO of the Virginia Tech Foundation); group meetings with Cabinet members; academic deans; alumni town halls; Virginia Cooperative Extension and a former rectors group.
Greg Esposito asked the committee to send additional suggested individuals and groups to include in the listening sessions. The committee will use those sessions to inform the position profile and candidate criteria before the firm begins intensive candidate screening and interviews.
