Three Westwood students and a recent graduate told the board about their Galaxy Frontier experience in Orlando. Jenna Dames and Jeremiah Walton, together with recent graduate Emmanuel Okugbeni, described studying the removal of space debris, experiments on water in microgravity and a tour of the Kennedy Space Center.
The students presented the learning outcomes to the board and community as part of the UMBS Galaxy Frontier presentation; their remarks highlighted hands-on STEM learning and exposure to aerospace facilities. "The project allowed the students to study the removal of space debris and what happens to water in space," the minutes state.
