Park Police describe targeted patrols after recent carjacking and paraphernalia reports at Browning's Grove

"We had a carjacking there, about a week and 0.5 ago, and those those violators were apprehended," Jones said, adding that the transient population around some park locations creates recurring enforcement needs.
Haywood and investigative staff said they work in tandem with patrol to identify and photograph frequent subjects at problem sites, and that they routinely coordinate with local municipal police as park boundaries abut city streets. The Park Police noted they are "constantly working in tandem with patrol" to address recurring problems and that they will continue targeted loops and increased checks in those park corridors.
