Committee confirms two nominees to Solid Waste Advisory Committee

"I am very interested in all aspects of solid waste management and their consequences," she told the committee. Charles Reininger summarized decades of volunteer service on county commissions and his prior leadership roles; he said the commission has at times experienced friction with the implementing department but that he looks forward to continuing his work.
Vice Chair Harrison moved a favorable recommendation and the motion passed unanimously on a roll-call vote (5-0). The committee did not separate the two nominees for individual votes. No fiscal or programmatic conditions were attached to the confirmation.
The confirmed appointees will serve as members of the Solid Waste Advisory Committee and the county executive's office indicated additional appointments will be forwarded in the coming weeks.
