Superintendent details bond projects and summer work; special meeting set for July

Superintendent Dr. Adam Spina briefed the board on facility projects funded by bond and on a list of non-bond summer projects for 2026 and 2027.
Dr. Spina said work is underway on the Williamston High School parking lots and sidewalks and noted flooring work at the middle and high schools began June 15. He said crews are working to move a gas line and internet cabling at the elementary school, and that gym footings and foundations for the Explorer gym will begin soon. A crane lift to install the new Pool Pak HVAC occurred June 8; the old HVAC was removed and the new system placed in the building.
Dr. Spina also reminded board members of a Special Meeting scheduled for Monday, July 27, 2026 in the Central Office conference room and stated the first regular board meeting for 2026–2027 will be Monday, August 10, 2026. Board members asked clarifying questions about the timeline and project sequencing; Dr. Spina answered those questions.
