District reports bond-project progress; pool closed for HVAC work through mid-July

Superintendent Dr. Adam Spina gave an update on bond-funded facilities work. The district held a ribbon-cutting for a new softball field on April 30 and noted a remaining punch-list. The pool HVAC project started May 4, with the pool closed beginning May 1 and expected to remain closed through mid-July while work continues. Explorer Elementary grading and groundwork are in progress and design work is underway for the Circle and the preschool/childcare wing.
Board members expressed appreciation for completed projects and ongoing construction. Nancy Deal specifically thanked staff and noted ongoing punch-list work; the items were recorded as informational updates and several were noted to be moved to action at the May 18 meeting if follow-up is required.
