The Manistee Area Public Schools Board of Education voted June 9 to approve changes to the district's sexual education curriculum after a second public-comment period produced no speakers.
Justine Slawinski, a board member, moved to add action Item 10F to the agenda to vote on the curriculum changes; Paul Antal seconded and the motion carried. During the substantive vote on the changes, Ms. Slawinski moved to approve the sexual education curriculum changes as presented and Dr. Antal seconded. The board recorded the motion as passing unanimously.
