Selectboard fills advisory and broadband representative seats

The Selectboard made two staffing appointments July 14. The board appointed Maureen Moriarty to a one-year term on the South Royalton Rescue Advisory Board to replace Bob Sponable; the agenda had mistakenly listed a two-year term, which the board corrected before voting. The motion to appoint Moriarty was made by Mike McPhetres, seconded by John O’Brien, and carried unanimously.
The board also appointed James McGuire as Tunbridge's primary representative to the East Central Vermont Telecommunications District (ECVTD/ECFiber) governing board with Henry Swayze named as first alternate; the Selectboard noted the Town is still seeking an additional alternate. Both appointments were approved without objection.
