Residents urge stronger enforcement as aldermen hear complaints about unregistered vehicles and property upkeep

Mayor Greg BeVelle and Alderman Sean Langston responded that the city’s capacity to enforce such codes is constrained by limited police staffing. Resident Jackie Cutler asked the mayor to personally request that residents move vehicles that extend onto city property in areas that need mowing; the board asked staff to add these concerns to follow-up lists for enforcement or outreach.
