The Pojoaque Valley Public Schools Board of Education voted on March 4 to proceed with a full replacement of the high school football turf and track, including a new base. The board adopted the administration's recommendation to move forward with the project and authorized the scope that includes the full pad system.
A presenter reported that Long Mountain provided a quote of $79,615.54 "for the removal and installation of a new basement," and said the additional amount would be covered by bond funding. The presenter told the board the full-base option addresses longevity concerns and represents a "quality long term solution for our student athletes and communities." (Presenter, SEG 054โ077)
Board leadership asked for questions and received none that altered the recommendation. The motion to accept the administration recommendation was made and carried on a roll-call vote. The board recorded the action as approval to proceed; the item was discussed in public session and will move into procurement and scheduling steps next.
