Taloga Board OKs $120,000 gym floor bleacher replacement, declares old units surplus

The Taloga Board of Education voted on March 11 to replace the gym floor seating bleachers and to declare the old floor bleachers surplus. Ladeana Birney moved to declare "six sets of collapsible bleachers (floor seating from gym) as surplus items of no value," a motion seconded by Doug Kilmer and adopted by a unanimous vote of the five board members.
Following the surplus declaration the Board approved a $120,000.00 bid from Z Floor Company to replace the floor seating bleachers. The board recorded the motion to "approve bid for replacement bleachers for floor seating in the gym from Z Floor Company in the amount of $120,000.00," which passed unanimously. The motion notes that the replacing vendor will be responsible for disposing of the old bleachers.
