Taloga Board approves contracts, bleachers purchase and $1,500 signing bonuses

At its March 11 meeting the Taloga Board of Education approved vendor contracts for federal program management and auditing, authorized replacement gym bleachers and surplus disposal of old units, approved teacher signing bonuses and adopted a 2026–27 support staff salary schedule; all motions passed unanimously.
The Taloga Board of Education convened its regular meeting on March 11, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. President Jerod Acre presided and the board approved the meeting agenda and the minutes of the Feb. 11 regular meeting. Stacy King moved to approve the agenda "as part of the Minutes," a motion seconded by Justin Fox and adopted by unanimous vote.
The meeting focused on routine financial actions and several contracts. Treasurer Krysten Bryer presented the schools' finances and the board voted to approve General Fund warrants/encumbrances (Cert# 1978–2009, 2012–2014). The board approved a set of vendor contracts, authorized the replacement of gym floor bleachers and approved $1,500 signing bonuses for new teacher positions as part of personnel action items. The meeting adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
