The Eden Selectboard opened a public hearing on the Eden Town Plan 2025–2033 at 6:10 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2025. Board members identified several changes that must be made to the draft, and the board voted to accept the current draft as amended for revision with a new public hearing to be scheduled before final approval.
Tim Bullard moved to accept the draft for revision; Clayton Whittemore seconded and the motion was approved. The board recessed the hearing at 6:42 p.m. after agreeing that staff would incorporate the identified edits and notify the public of the next hearing date.
Why it matters: The town plan guides local land use, development priorities and municipal investments for the next planning period; changes requested at the hearing will shape the document before the Selectboard considers final adoption. The next procedural step is a revised draft and a second public hearing prior to a final vote.
