Committee members reviewed the MASC five-page bullying-prevention model and discussed expanding cyberbullying definitions to explicitly include images, video and emerging generative AI that can create impersonations or doctored media. One member suggested, "Could we add something about generative AI too as a form of...creation of artificial intelligence representing somebody else," and the consultant agreed to workshop precise language for inclusion in the redline.
The group also discussed academic-integrity implications for generative-AI use in student work and asked staff to cross-reference anti-bullying language with academic and discipline policies. The subcommittee recommended the consultant draft wording that specifically names video and generative AI as covered forms of cyberharassment while preserving existing procedural protections and reporting protocols.
