Lynwood public works reports water breaks, branch pickup and upcoming lead sampling

Public Works presented its productivity report at the July 22 meeting. The department listed five main water breaks, six water service lines repaired, one fire hydrant repaired, one storm catch basin repaired and three streetlights repaired. Staff said all concrete and asphalt restorations related to those repairs have been completed.
The department also announced operational service dates: the next branch pickup is scheduled for July 28 and lead-and-copper sample instruction letters will be distributed on Aug. 4 with sampling planned for Aug. 5. Trustee Sherri Dunlap reiterated that the next chipper date will be July 28 and reminded residents that park rentals cover facilities only and do not close the parks to the public.
