Selectboard signs goat-contract to manage Boyce Hill vegetation; tree work and cemetery fund policy tabled

The Selectboard voted to sign a conservation commission contract to use goats to manage vegetation growth on Boyce Hill. Chuck Martel moved to sign the goat contract, Michael Jordan seconded, and the board approved the action; Martel signed the contract at the meeting.
Separately, the board discussed additional tree-cutting that will be needed for other projects and agreed a quote is being prepared. Resident Janet Saylor requested permission for her arborist to inspect a leaning limb on a Boyce Hill tree; the board agreed and suggested she also consult the Conservation Commission. The Cemetery Commission’s proposed policy for two cemetery-designated funds was presented but tabled for further review at a future meeting.
