Trustee Marshall moved and Trustee Eaves seconded first reading of Resolution #25-13, a cooperative agreement with the Village of Ford Heights to permit water service to a business located at 20171 Stoney Island Ave. Mayor Curry explained that the business must connect to Lynwood's water because "the closest water connection is in Lynwood." The resolution passed on a roll-call vote with Ayes: Eaves, Dunlap, Blakey, Hurt and Marshall.
The agreement was presented as a first reading; the board did not take final action or identify a timeline for construction or the business owner. The motion formalizes intermunicipal cooperation to allow utility connections across municipal boundaries when necessary.
