Fayston road crew readies gravel and equipment ahead of bridge work

Road Foreman Josh Livingston told the Selectboard the road crew has been cleaning the shop, stripping trucks, grading where conditions allow and hauling and stockpiling gravel purchased for town work. He said the crew was preparing to have equipment on site for bridge construction planned in the near term.
Board members also discussed traffic-sign placement and longer-term fixes. Josh recommended positioning a blinking Mt. Ellen advance-warning sign before the stop sign; the board reviewed options for Number Nine Hill Road including adding under-drain or moving portions of the road as long-term solutions.
