During action items the board approved several routine and substantive items by roll call. The consent agenda passed and included draft minutes from Dec. 17, a budget adjustment request, out-of-state travel for the superintendent, and memoranda or contracts for curriculum and student services.
The board also approved the annual Indian Policies & Procedures (IPP) updates for 2025—2026, which included leadership list updates, a vocabulary change (from "Indian" to "Native American" in several places), and additional evaluation metrics such as chronic absenteeism and disciplinary rates. Presenters requested the board president's signature and the board approved the document.
On construction funding the board approved an updated MOU with the Public School Facilities Authority to advance the middle school into construction documents and later construction funding steps. After an executive session to review the superintendent's midyear evaluation the board authorized the midyear evaluation to be signed by the superintendent and filed with HR.
All motions in this section were recorded as carried by roll call; specifics of vote tallies were recorded in the official board minutes.
