The Tinicum Township police chief reported the department recorded 270 incident reports in May, including 61 service-related calls, 68 criminal or investigative matters (one theft, one DUI arrest, one warrant arrest and one strangulation arrest), and 124 traffic reports. "Tinicum Township Police Department recorded 270 incident reports in May," the chief said during the meeting.
The chief said the department handled six reportable traffic accidents in May — five of the six involved motorcycles — and conducted 21 truck details on River Road that produced several violations and citations. The chief said the department plans community outreach at upcoming events, including the arts festival on July 11–12 and a police foundation booth. Board members had no follow-up questions during the presentation.
