The Price County Sheriff’s Office reported April 9 that Deputy David Wesenick submitted his intent to retire in June 2026 after 25 years of service. The office also announced it hired Brandon Boggs, who will attend the Law Enforcement Academy in Rhinelander and is expected to graduate in September and complete field training thereafter.
Officials said they are interviewing candidates for part-time corrections and dispatch roles as well as patrol positions. K9 Deputy Joe Janak and K9 Dixon are scheduled to retire in fall 2026, and the department noted that transitions for K-9 duties will be part of the staffing plan.
