A village staff member said the house was purchased as part of the police station construction and was rented during construction but is now vacated; staff recommended selling the property and proceeding with a certified survey map (CSM) to split the lot. "The CSM process will begin on October 7 at the planning commission, and we will have the official public hearing for the address change on October 14," the staff member said. The board made the motion, seconded it and, with no objections, carried it.
The staff presentation said roughly half the parcel would be retained by the village for uses related to the police station and the other half would remain a single‑family home to be sold. Setting the hearing initiates the formal public-notice and comment process; no final sale or address assignment was approved at the meeting. The board directed staff to proceed with the planning‑commission review and the public‑hearing timeline presented.
