On June 12, representatives from library systems and the Emporia Senior Center presented their proposed 2026 budgets to the Lyon County Commission. Pauline Stacchini (Emporia Public Library), Nikki Plankinton (NLC Library District #1), Anita Westcott (Americus Township Library) and staff from the Emporia Senior Center explained programs and activities they expect to offer in the coming year.
