Implementation team recommends McGraw Hill for 6–12 and Savvas Envision for K–5 after multi-stakeholder review

District staff and partners from ANet presented their math curricular review process and final recommendations to the board, explaining that the implementation team used state review rubrics plus two additional locally prioritized criteria (support for diverse learners and technology accessibility) and only considered materials scoring 90%+ on New Mexico reviews. Megan Dowling (ANet) said teams of principals, teachers and district leaders narrowed candidate materials after classroom-level reviews and stakeholder input.
Megan Dowling described stakeholder input: 22 educators provided ratings and qualitative feedback and 16 community members (including two students) gave open-ended comments; the implementation team reported unanimous support for McGraw Hill Reveal Math for grades 6–12 and majority support for Savvas Envision in K–5, citing standards alignment, teacher supports and conceptual rigor. The board asked about timing and implications of state policy (Senate Bill 29) and Dr. Segura said the district will plan strategically and, if necessary, prepare remedial plans to remain in compliance with state timelines rather than rushing rollout.
