Student leaders from Valley Middle School told the Hermosa Beach City Elementary School Board about classroom projects and extracurricular activities during the meeting. "We're excited to be here tonight and update you on what has been happening at Valley," said Noah, the Valley student council president, who highlighted Spanish pen‑pal letters and Spanish 1 grammar work.
Other council members summarized grade‑level work: Mia described new PLTW puzzle‑cube projects and digital photography units; Aria Cathicar described trimester art projects and a community building assignment; Harper outlined preparation for formal debate teams; and Kelsey, a student‑leadership member, spoke about leadership lessons and growth‑mindset work. Board members thanked the students for presenting and the chair encouraged staff to circulate the presentation deck to families so parents could see in‑class learning.
