AGNC representative outlines $6M regional energy-hub bid and warns of state energy policy changes

He also warned of proposed late state legislation that would accelerate emission targets and place new restrictions on PUC approvals, potentially affecting local utilities and resource choices. "We put in an application for a $6,000,000 grant to develop a 5 state regional energy hub," Matt said. He encouraged the council to monitor an executive order and regional actions and to coordinate through AGNC and partners to protect local economic interests.
Council thanked Matt for the briefing and discussed next steps for outreach to AGNC staff and participation in upcoming forums.
