The Village Board voted to approve a certified survey map and a resolution to change the official address of a village-owned house adjacent to the new Pleasant Prairie Police Department.
Rob, a village staff member, said the village acquired the property during construction of the police station at 10111 39th Avenue and proposed subdividing 38 7500th Street into two lots and an outlot so that Lot 1 (about 1.98 acres) can be retained for the police department and Lot 2 (about 2.2 acres) — the existing house — can be sold. He told trustees the village will rezone the retained lot to I-1 and amend the police station PUD legal description to reflect only the building parcel.
The public hearing produced no speakers; a trustee moved approval of resolution 24-32 to change the official address and the motion carried by voice vote. The board also approved the CSM and related zoning map and text amendments (ordinances) connected to the police station parcel.
The approvals will allow the village to record the survey and proceed with rezoning and sale preparations for the residence on Lot 2. Staff said the driveway for the house has been relocated to the newly constructed 101st Street and that subdivision and PUD corrections are intended to match the current site layout.
