Katie told the board recent septic system issues required emergency servicing, including a pump-out costing over $4,000 to maintain school operations; preventative steps have been taken. She added that both buses passed inspection after prior repairs, including work on the electric bus (battery issue and wheelchair ramp repair) and that the district plans to buy a portable charger to prevent future breakdowns. State testing for grades 3–8 is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks; the school also received a Washington School Recognition banner this year.
