The Skamania School District #2 Board completed its annual reorganization at the Dec. 17 meeting, appointing Donald Collins as Board Chair and Lisa Young as Vice Chair. Jeremy Silver moved to appoint Donald Collins as chair and Lisa Young seconded; the motion passed with two abstentions. Donald Collins then moved to appoint Lisa Young as vice chair; Martin “Rowdy” LaFevers seconded and that motion also passed with two abstentions.
Following the reorganization, Donald Collins and Jeremy Silver were administered the Oath of Office upon their re-election to the Board of Directors. The board also discussed scheduling a recurring 'Meet the Board' event and agreed to hold it during Literacy Night on March 26 to align with a school event.
