The Skamania School District Board of Directors approved a slate of routine and substantive actions at its April 22 meeting in Stevenson. Lisa Young moved to approve the consent agenda with an edit to the March 18 minutes; Rowdy LaFevers seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The consent agenda included general fund checks 30864–30887 totaling $37,552.13 and payroll/benefits checks 30888–30898 totaling $135,946.41.
Board Chair Donald Collins moved to adopt Policy 6701 (Recess and Physical Activity) on second reading; Lisa Young seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Later in the meeting, after reviewing salary scenarios, the board approved a 5% increase for certificated and classified staff and administration for the 2026–27 fiscal year (described as 2.6% from the state and 2.4% from the district). The motion to approve the salary package was made by Donald Collins, seconded by Jeremy Silver, and passed unanimously.
