The Skamania School District #2 Board voted to adopt Policy 3207, the district's policy prohibiting harassment, intimidation and bullying of students, during its Dec. 17 regular meeting. Superintendent Katie Chavarria presented the policy for a second reading and told the board one small change had been made following the first reading.
Lisa Young moved to adopt Policy 3207 as written and Jeremy Silver seconded; the motion passed with no further discussion. The adoption completes the board's second-reading process and puts the policy into effect per standard board procedure. Katie also shared supplemental staff-related policies and the board asked that Policies 5011 and 6513 be brought forward for discussion at the January meeting.
