Heather, Positive Pie’s regional manager, told the board the plan would replicate last year’s approach with about seven small tables close to the storefront and no servers or alcohol. “So similar to last year, just about 7 tables along the storefront very close to the window, with chairs,” Heather said. She emphasized the business would respect pedestrian space and handle trash removal themselves.
Trustees discussed safety and pedestrian access around trees and existing sidewalks and confirmed the application’s no-alcohol, no-rope conditions and that the setup must not obstruct the walkway. A trustee moved to approve the permit “as presented,” the motion was seconded, and the board voiced its approval.
The approval is conditioned on maintaining clear pedestrian passage and on Positive Pie following the no-rope/no-alcohol approach discussed at the meeting. The permit will allow the restaurant to seat customers outdoors for takeout and short-stay dining during the approved season.
