The Weston Selectboard voted to approve the purchase order for a new Western Star plow truck, a purchase Road Foreman Jeff Yrsha described as "priced at approximately $294,000 including the plow package." The board approved the order contingent on a written agreement from ATG of Westminster to lock in the current price; Katie Fitzpatrick moved the measure, Linda Saarnijoki seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Yrsha told the board the truck is part of the town’s 10‑year equipment rotation plan, that no down payment is required for the order, and that if ordered now the vehicle’s expected delivery would be July 2027. The trade‑in value for the 2016 truck has not yet been determined; the board tasked staff and the Road Foreman with documenting trade‑in options and the final purchase agreement before payment or delivery.
