Resident urges 'No Loading Zone' after delivery trucks block visibility at Weston's south end

A Weston resident raised safety concerns about delivery truck parking at the town's south end, saying the trucks are creating dangerous sight-line obstructions for drivers. "Large delivery trucks continue to park on the roadway, obstructing visibility and creating unsafe conditions for drivers," Todd LaRue told the Selectboard during public comment.
LaRue said existing "No Parking" signs have not resolved the problem and, together with Will Freeman, suggested a "No Loading Zone" sign as a possible remedy. Vice Chair Jim Linville said the Selectboard would contact VTrans to ask whether that signage could be installed; the board also noted the Development Review Board has engaged legal counsel to review the permit for the bakery project and Inn.
The board did not vote on a specific enforcement action at the meeting but committed to following up with VTrans and the DRB. The exchange came early in the meeting so members of the public present could hear next steps.
