Blake Martin took the oath of office on Dec. 9 to serve as Electric City mayor for a four-year term, the City Clerk dministered the oath and the council adjourned later that evening at 7:17 p.m. The council also accepted the resignation that vacated Council Position #5 and agreed to advertise for letters of interest.
The council appointed Robbin Boyce to Council Position #2 after Brad Oliver withdrew due to residency ineligibility. The council set a deadline of Jan. 9, 2026, for letters of interest for the open Seat #5 and said it will decide on an appointment at its Jan. 13, 2026 meeting. No vote tallies were recorded beyond the standard unanimous-consent shorthand in the minutes.
