At its May 5 meeting, the Taylor City Council approved the following motions and actions (as recorded in the meeting):
- Appointed David Nestor to the Downtown Development Authority for a four-year term to 05/05/2030 (Item 5.1). "I don't believe Mister Nestor is here," the record notes; appointment motion carried.
- Approved a personal service contract for a special event coordinator for Lakes Of Taylor (Item 5.2); motion carried.
- Designated Lifeline Billings Systems LLC as a new debt collection agency for the fire department; motion carried.
- Approved an increase to CCR 6.220-25 to raise a blanket purchase order authority for fuel by $3,000 (funded through the general fund fire ALS transport account); council described this as an internal reallocation and not a budget increase.
- Approved purchase and training contracts for police department training and equipment (see related article).
- Approved an amendment to CCR 7.290 increasing the amount by $3,083,000 funded through the repair and maintenance account; motion carried.
