Taylor council adopts General Appropriation Act for fiscal 2026-27 and omnibus budget amendment

At the April 23 meeting the City of Taylor council voted to approve the General Appropriation Act for fiscal years 2026 and 2027 and to adopt an omnibus budget amendment for fiscal year 2025-26. The motion was made, supported and approved by voice vote.
Mayor Woolley and several council members publicly thanked administration and department heads for their work on the budget process. The mayor said the process was lengthy and sometimes difficult, calling it "one of the toughest ones in the almost 5 years that I've been here" and praised budget staff "crunching all those numbers." Councilors expressed appreciation for the documentation and staff time that prepared the council for the votes. The council carried the motion and then moved to adjourn.
