The Village Board approved Fire Department claims for April ($815.44) and May ($134.87), a combined $950.31 to cover training, EMS supplies and fuel. Trustee Wilken moved approval; Trustee Benedict seconded and the motion carried with Wilken, Frank and Benedict recorded in favor.
The board also approved a new fire contract with the rural district; signed copies were executed by Tyler Strong, Chairperson Frank and Clerk Bobbi McVey-Blath. Separately, the board approved a Fire Department request to close 3rd Street and A Street on Oct. 31 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a Fun Run.
