Council approved a resolution authorizing transfers and a temporary construction easement on city property adjacent to River Street Park to the Commonwealth of Virginia for the VDOT I‑64 Hampton Roads Express Lane Segment 4C project (state project 0064-114-374). Staff said VDOT modified its offer package, reducing the amount to be taken and creating the need for a revised set of parcel transactions.
The approved transactions include the transfer of approximately 821 square feet (more or less) of city property (portion of LRSN 2003325) and the granting of a temporary construction easement of about 518 square feet (portion of LRSN 2003325). The council moved and voted to approve the resolution; the motion carried by recorded aye votes.
