Council reappoints three to Veterans Museum Commission; announces Battle of the Badges fundraiser

Mayor Woolley praised the Veterans Museum for hosting Armed Forces Remembrance Day events and thanked volunteers and attendees for participating despite poor weather. Separately, a councilmember announced a "Battle of the Badges" police-versus-firefighters community event on May 29 at Heritage Park; proceeds will benefit the Veterans Museum.
The mayor also told the chamber the building's HVAC unit is being replaced and that the room temperature had been high; staff said the new unit should be operational in about two weeks.
