Council approves $51,441 in signage for Lane Action & Adventure Park; skate-park builder due in March

Parks staff explained the signage package includes a main entrance sign, directional and wayfinding signs and in-park interpretive/identification signs across the site. Staff noted the park parcel is roughly 40 acres and said they included contingency in case additional directional signage is needed as development progresses. The presenter said the skate-park company (West Coast contractor) will be on site in March and staff’s goal is to open the park in April and no later than May, with ribbon-cutting plans tied to completion of the skate park, parking and road work.
Councilmembers asked about materials and long-term durability; staff said the signs will be aluminum and powder-coated for longevity. The motion passed; staff will return with renderings and additional budgetary numbers if the project needs further signage or changes.
